My idea of an ideal way for a bass pickup to work is to cover the widest possible frequency spectrum. By best preventing the formation of eddy currents by selecting suitable materials, the transmission potential of my pickups is both “powerful and open”. (O-tone from a satisfied customer). The high resonance enhancement contributes to this with the liveliness of the tone that it reveals.
